We have appointed a new Chief Executive, Ansar Ali, with effect from 1st February 2010.

Ansar was previously Managing Director of the central business unit of the Home Group and before that was Chief Executive of Nashayman.

He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing and has substantial experience of working in the housing sector. Ansar is committed to improving housing conditions in the Bradford region and will play a vital role in delivering the Association’s business plan targets.

Masoud Khan who was acting as Interim Chief Executive from 23rd March 2009 has now reverted to his previous role as Finance Director and will continue as Company Secretary.

Chair Ruby Bhatti said: “We are delighted to have appointed Ansar. We believe his commitment to improving housing conditions in Bradford will be the key to helping us achieve our business targets.”

We are a specialist housing association providing larger homes for people in need within the Bradford district. The association has over 1000 homes, of which nearly half are of four bedrooms or more. As a result, we have over 5,000 residents. The Association plays a strong role in developing new housing schemes in Bradford and Keighley with several units being completed each year.  The Association enjoys strong support from the local authority.

Although our focus is on meeting the housing needs of Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities, in response to the changing needs and aspirations of our customers, we are developing homes in non-BME areas as well as offering more choices of property types and sizes to people who wish to rent or partly own their own homes.
