Manningham’s business agenda is shaped by its mission and vision, and the related core values. The mission is: To contribute to the regeneration of sustainable local communities, in the Bradford District, providing good value for money homes and services to meet the housing needs especially among black minorities.
Against this background, the Association’s major objective is to manage its growth effectively. This means that new activities are controlled to ensure they fit in with core values and do not deflect the association from achieving continued sustainable long-term financial strength. The core objectives and values are we will: Serve the disadvantaged among those who are not primarily of UK descent or who are seen by the majority as outsiders. Work with the disadvantaged to achieve empowerment and acceptance within society. Focus our activities within the urban areas where social deprivations are compounded. Recognise the rich diversity of the communities which we serve and enable them to live in peace and harmony. Ensure that equality, justice and the dignity of the individual are integral to the way we work. Make our work sustainable for the benefit of future generations. Strive for the best possible quality in every aspect of our operations, using the skills, intelligence and commitment of our people. Always be caring, honest and open.
These values and objectives underpin the Association’s planned programme for future growth. The board controls general policy and monitors its achievement which is delegated to the Chief Executive and staff. The association’s staff structure is reviewed annually in the light of new demands and challenges. The analysis of the business context identifies the future direction of the organisation in the light of present trends, both in terms of the external environment and the internal assets available.
